Kah. Kah? Kah!

Back from BKK. It is HOT. Hotter than Singapore if you can believe it. When I go to sleep in a fan-room, I always think about movies where characters in suburban Italy and Spain (e.g. I'm not scared & Amores Perros are glistening with sweat and it always almost inevitably lead to a sexual scene soon after. Ahem.

Check out the travel section for sporadic posts of Bangkok.

Sawasdee kah!

Off to Bangkok soon. Will be posting under Travel while I'm gone. Singha beer! Glug glug.

Need to get combo PCMCIA cardnote: PCMCIAs cannot powerup externals i.e. you can't use it to charge the Pod. guess i found out too late but at least they promised me a swap., Thai phrasebook for pointing-to-text conversing with locals, a cheap earphone-mike for SkypeOuting back home, and more rolls of film. Sigh. Budget travel my ass.

To do: Download and install Blogjet. Make sure there is ample space on laptop for photos and music. Remember to feel very pissed off about goodfornothing battery I'm not any less pissed off now (when you read laptop manuals and they tell you to remove battery when plugged in to a powerpoint after charging to full, do it. Do not secondguess.) Attempt to forcefully attach small Deuter backpack to big non-Deuter backpack.

What Bangkok2005 is looking like now:

1stday-Find a reasonably decent place to stay for under 400 baht for 2 near Tha Banglumphu (river stop)
2nd - Cross river to Thonburi railway station for trainride to Kanchanaburi
3rd - Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Pho, Wat Arun, move residence to Soi Kasemsan near Siam square with free WiFi all day, A/C and hot shower just for 500 baht!
4th - Ayutthaya
5th - Chatuchak (or Jatujak)
6th - Chinatown in search of photo equip, Wat Benjamabophit and surrounding architecture
7th - Go-karting and maybe a visit to the Levi's factory outlet hawhawhaw. I'm gonna have to resort to grass-eating after this.

with various other inserts like visiting the much talked about Food Loft and getting a suit tailored for the boyfriend (around 120SGD and you can model it after any famous labels!!!) and maybe trying to ride a scooter to explore Kanchanaburi, probably not. but might be worth trying. I can't wait to ply the khlongs of Bangkok with you.

Around the world in 80 days

Other than Paul, I haven't come to know anyone else (personally) who attempted to do world-travel on a shoe-string budget. And he has some pretty amazing stories to tell. What I do know is, if given a chance, I don't suppose I would ever just up and leave. The problem with me is convention: I'm too rooted in it. As much as I would like to think of myself as a radical riot, I can never be, because of my conventional family. Well, not all that conventional but enough.

Supper the other day with Paul, Daniel and Rasheel. Probably one of the funniest conversations I ever sat through. I wanna do this again!

The main point of this post is to say that the blog will now see some revamp, hopefully in a better direction, somewhat inspired by the shutdown of my bloggoddess's blog (i think she's considering a comeback). That, and also my interest in keeping up a blog is fast burning out no thanks to annoyances that can't seem to leave me alone.

Further on hatemails, besides the millions that Xiaxue is getting for her unwise SPG sliming (as we're all aware what horndogs Singaporean men are). I was honestly appalled and disgusted to hear that people get hatemail about the worst parts of their lives. Recently risen-to-fame blogger Kenny Sia got a hatemail when reminiscing about father's day and his late father.

IP Address: 219.93.174.106
Name: jenne

Too fucking bad. Your dad died. Big fucking deal. I bet he committed suicide knowing he spawned a retard of a son.

Shocking. Even Mr Brown had hatemail jeering at his little daughter's autistic condition.

These people, I swear to God, will one day have their balls ripped out and throwing into a chemical fire, preferably nuclear, and along with their eyeballs.

On a heavier note, I have recently found that many others are dealing with the same kind of pain that I am. I guess I found the answer to the question I was asking myself last night in the middle of all that swollen-eye crying. How does anyone deal with so much pain? Of course I'm not alone. Of course there are others out there who understand what I'm going through who might be going through much worse. A.R, I know you probably won't be reading this, but I really hope your mother gets well. And it's not impossible. Nothing's impossible if you have faith. Lord, don't give up on him yet, please. I pray desperately. And maybe if you're reading this post, and even if you're not that staunch, maybe just utter a short little prayer for all who are ill and battling to live.
